Summary

PGuard is a native, streaming guardrail for multimodal large language models that runs token-level safety detection on the backbone model's intermediate representations, without changing its inference pathway or generation behavior. It adds only 0.82-2.26% end-to-end overhead on Qwen3.5-122B-A10B served by SGLang. Across more than 30 benchmarks, it reports state-of-the-art results among native guardrails, with an average F1 score of 0.836 on text queries with Qwen3.5-9B.
