Google rolls out new Gemini AI model but restricts access over safety concerns

Summary
Google said on Wednesday it will withhold its most powerful AI model, Gemini 4 Argon, from the public for now. The model will be released only to a vetted group of cybersecurity experts to prevent misuse by hackers. Google chief AI architect Koray Kavukcuoglu described the approach in a blogpost as a phased release.
