Google Gemini could soon get full access to your Mac’s files, apps and the web

Summary
Google is reportedly testing desktop control for Gemini on macOS, spotted by TestingCatalog and tied to a hidden "Additional sandbox options" setting in the Gemini Desktop app. The feature is not live and Google has not confirmed it, but if enabled Gemini could read, create, modify or delete files beyond folders the user has connected, and act through apps such as Mail, Safari or Messages without asking each time. Gemini would still ask before sensitive actions like purchases, money transfers, account creation or accepting legal terms.
