Summary

TensorFlow's tf.raw_ops.FractionalAvgPool can be made to divide by zero at runtime. An attacker who controls input_size and pooling_ratio can make the computed output_size zero, because the DCHECK_GT guard is a no-op in released builds. The resulting modulo-by-zero in GeneratePoolingSequence crashes the process, causing denial of service.

Mitigation

The fix will be included in TensorFlow 2.5.0. The commit will also be cherry-picked to TensorFlow 2.4.2, 2.3.3, 2.2.3 and 2.1.4.
