AI chatbots point vulnerable social media users to illegal online casinos, analysis shows

An analysis of five AI products from some of the world's largest tech companies found that all could readily be prompted to list the "best" unlicensed online casinos and give tips on using them. Tech firms were condemned for lacking controls, with Meta AI and Gemini reportedly offering advice on bypassing UK gambling and addiction checks. The chatbots' recommendations put vulnerable social media users at increased risk of fraud, addiction and even suicide.
