Summary
filelock's UnixFileLock, the backend of FileLock and AsyncFileLock on Unix, truncates any regular file found at the lock path once it holds the flock, and chmods it when an explicit mode is set. Another local user who renames or hard-links a file of the lock user onto the lock path causes that file to be emptied by the lock user's next acquire(). Affected versions are all releases up to and including 4.2.0; the chmod behaviour dates from 3.10.2.
