The AI Office: What is it, and how does it work?

Summary

The European Commission has established the European AI Office, an EU-level regulator sitting within DG CNECT. It will monitor, supervise and enforce AI Act requirements on general purpose AI (GPAI) models and systems across the 27 EU Member States, including investigating potential infringement and non-compliance.
