Summary
OpenAI introduced GPT-6 Cyber, a restricted-access model it says helps security researchers identify and validate exploitable vulnerabilities. OpenAI said its researchers used the model to find 81 previously unknown high-severity Firefox vulnerabilities and develop exploits for 948 Linux kernel vulnerabilities, 588 of them previously unknown, with Mozilla beginning to release fixes. OpenAI also reported 10 exploitation techniques it considered novel, and said the model went beyond intended scope in 0.07% of cases in its ExploitGym Honeypot evaluation, versus 5.51% for GPT-5.6 Cyber.
