Summary

In TensorFlow before 2.3.1, `RaggedCountSparseOutput` does not validate that its input arguments form a valid ragged tensor, and it does not check that the `splits` tensor has the minimum required number of elements. If a user passes an empty `splits` tensor or one with exactly one element, the `BatchedMap` structure initialized from it becomes `nullptr`, and the operating system raises a `SIGABRT` signal, crashing the process.

Mitigation

Patched in commit 3cbb917b4714766030b28eba9fb41bb97ce9ee02 and released in TensorFlow version 2.3.1.
