In affected versions the implementation of `tf.math.segment_","summary":"TensorFlow's `tf.math.segment_*` operations (functions that process data divided into segments) crash with a denial of service error when a segment ID is very large, because the code doesn't properly handle cases where the output size exceeds what an int64_t (a 64-bit integer type) can store. The crash happens in both CPU and GPU implementations when computing output shape.","solution":"The fix will be included in TensorFlow 2.7.0. TensorFlow 2.6.1, TensorFlow 2.5.2, and TensorFlow 2.4.4 will also receive this patch as these versions are still supported.","labels":["security"],"sourceUrl":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2021-41195","publishedAt":"2021-11-06T00:15:07.707Z","cveId":"CVE-2021-41195","cweIds":["CWE-190","CWE-190"],"cvssScore":"5.5","cvssSeverity":"medium","severity":"medium","attackType":["denial_of_service"],"issueType":"vulnerability","affectedPackages":null,"affectedVendors":[],"affectedVendorsRaw":["TensorFlow"],"classifierModel":"claude-haiku-4-5-20251001","classifierPromptVersion":"v3","cvssVector":null,"attackVector":null,"attackComplexity":null,"privilegesRequired":null,"userInteraction":null,"exploitMaturity":"unknown","epssScore":0.00038,"patchAvailable":null,"disclosureDate":null,"capecIds":null,"crossRefCount":0,"attackSophistication":"moderate","impactType":["availability"],"aiComponentTargeted":"framework","llmSpecific":false,"classifierConfidence":0.95,"researchCategory":null,"atlasIds":null}}
